In tutti gli Stati con cui la Chiesa sottoscrisse concordati le discriminazioni legislative presero di mira soprattutto i non credenti le cui organizzazioni furono sciolte.

La fine delle conversioni imposte a tutto il popolo sembra dunque aver creato un panorama granitico, in cui l’appartenenza confessionale è l’inerziale eredità di un evento più o meno lontano, di scelte compiute da autorità secolari che vedevano nel sostegno a una confessione religiosa un instrumentum regni. I cimiteri sono pieni di politici (pensiamo a Mussolini e Craxi) il cui potere è stato effimero tanto quanto il sostegno ecclesiastico nei loro confronti. E’ dunque semmai vero il contrario: è la politica a rappresentare un autentico instrumentum religionis. Ma solo quando è disponibile a lasciarsi usare.

Mussolini: Moral of the story, don’t be a dictator.
The desecrated remains of Benito Mussolini and his mistress Clara Petacci. After execution by firing squad, the bodies of the two above as well as other Fascist supporters were loaded into a moving van to Milan, where they were summarily spat upon, kicked, shot at, and eventually suspended upside down from meat hooks from the roof of a gas station in the Piazza Loreto.

Pasolini was murdered by being run over several times with his own car, dying on 2 November 1975 on the beach at Ostia, near Rome.

La «marcia» è decisa, secondo i nuovi piani, il 26 ottobre a Napoli [avrebbe dovuto aver luogo il 4 novembre, giorno della festa della Vittoria, ma le forze “democratiche” avevano organizzato per quel dì una contromarcia guidata dal vate d’Annunzio - nota del trascrittore]. La mobilitazione fascista avviene fra il 26 e il 27. Il 28 deve avere inizio la «marcia» E’ attorno a Roma che si devono decidere le sorti d’Italia. Mussolini prende il treno a Napoli, traversa Roma e si confina a Milano. Milano sta dalla parte opposta, a 600 chilometri da Roma. Se fosse rimasto a Napoli, sarebbe stato più vicino. Originale ubicazione di combattimento. Anche con la strategia moderna, 600 chilometri di distanza dal grosso che si batte sono effettivamente molti. Ma, in compenso, Milano ha il vantaggio di essere a pochi chilometri dalla frontiera svizzera.

- What do you really need to say about Hitler? Someone I talked to about this earlier suggested I say that April 20 is the birth date of the greatest mass murderer in human history. I don’t know about calling Hitler the greatest anything. There have been bigger genocides and bigger body counts than those attributed to Hitler but I guess it’s just a case of what he’s known for. If it was up to me, and it is since I’m writing this I suppose the best I can come up with is to say that April 20th is the birth date of one of the most delusional, craziest, incompetent, mass murdering mad men in history whose only successes came through luck and good planning on part of his subordinates.
Well, today for somebody is AH-day. I don’t mind about any definition of this man, no adjective could explain the suffering he caused in three continent and the shed blood of the women and the men who come from all over the planet to fight in the Old World. Many other in history made genocides and some of them are remembered as heroes: for example, Julius Caesar extermineted half of the Celtic peolple in Galliae and is believed as one of the greatest general ever existed, as well Charle Magne who slaughtered thousands of pagan Sassons and is now indicated by the catholic hierarchy as the father of modern Europe. if you look at history facts, every change is soaked with the blood of innocents, usually the poorest and defenceless people.
I agree with you, the power of destructiveness doesn’t dwell a single man nor in his ability to decept masses of men, this tremendous quality become decisive to cause epocal catastrophes only when a society has gained a certain grade of organisation and a great number of people is ready to follow a Pied Piper, usually cause to the promises of great improvement of self condition at the expense of strangers. Hitler, Mussolini, Pavelich, Antonescu, Hirohito, Franco, Stalin, Pol Pot, Amin Dada and other monsters of the past century would be harmless if masses of indoctrinated and organised masses of Germans, Italians, Croatians, Romanians, Japaneses, Spanishes, Soviets, Cambodians, Ughandians ond other peoples were not under the strong influence of the pervasive organisation of the modern State.
The only difference between our times and the past is the emerging after WWII of a real humanitarian and universal vision wich, for instance, prevent the athomic apocalipse during the Cold War and make war unaccepteble by the masses (see the pacifist movement spreaded all over the world since the Vietnamese war), unless they are scared (see the endless war on terror declared by GW Bush after 11/9). Somebody is trying to bring back history clock, I admit.
