what happens when it rains

One evening about a year ago, when I was living on the UC Santa Cruz campus, it suddenly began to rain very heavily. I went outside with my SLR camera, and began snapping like crazy. When it rains in Santa Cruz, the entire place is transformed. The next day, the rain had stopped but previously dry forests and passages had been transformed into rivers. I went out again, camera in hand (often precariously balanced over the streams and trees), to document the rhythms and detailed changes that had been brought about. Afterwards, I sat down at a friend’s computer and put this film together. The music is Miguel Atwood-Ferguson’s orchestral arrangement of J Dilla’s Untitled/Fantastic

Note: please watch in HD, it makes a world of difference!
