Why aren’t casualty statistics aren’t given on both sides, like sports scores?  And not just for soldiers.  For civilians too?
War is indeed complex.  Sebastian Junger, co-director of the doc, RESTREPO, writes in the NYT about the complexity of war and proposes the US erect a monument to the civilian dead of Iraq and Afghanistan.   This would be a way to help our combat troops cope with the realities of the most serious and dangerous business in the world… war.
“A monument to the civilian dead of Iraq and Afghanistan would not only provide comfort to these young men but also signal to the world that our nation understands the costs of war.”

No monument can revive dead people, this proposal is quite ridicule. On the contrary, I think mental diseases would increase in the population of the “good cause” bombing states (i.e. USA and their allies) if they would actually know how their precious resources are stolen from the undeveloped countries in wich their armies do the war job. War is just screamed lies and silenced truth.
